Financial company based within Melbourne's CBD are seeking an experience Release Manager who has experience in the protection of clients production environment and it's services through the use of formal procedures and checks.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, maintain and adhere to release schedule
  • Develop and socialise our clients release management policy, ensuring all teams adhere to the policy
  • Work with Change Manager to coordinate implementation of release across multiple environments
  • Coordinate the maintenance and management of test and production environments
  • Control of the implementation of releases across a number of environments using a appropriate release management tools
  • Ensure that the scope of each release is clearly defined, and the necessary components and requirements needed for successful deployment are identified
  • Ensuring all details relevant to releases are accurately recorded, duties are delegated in a timely manner and that all necessary communication with the client and other teams in followed up
  • Identification, management and mitigation of risks to successful deployment
  • Develop and provide release management process documentation with continuous process improvement
  • Liaising with Technology Management, Project Managers, business and vendors regarding release management issues
  • Develop and maintain an appropriate set of reports to measure the success and frequency of releases, plus the frequency of unsuccessful releases, and analysis of unsuccessful releases. Reporting should be regularly reviewed for relevance Ensure all releases are conducted with consideration of all environments (Disaster Recovery, Test, Development and Production)

Skills Required include:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Release Management
  • Broad and extensive experience across a variety of applications
  • Understand principles of Project Management
  • Advanced problem analysis and troubleshooting skills.
  • In-depth expertise in services and solutions.
  • Ability to mentor staff, with proven transfer of skills.
  • Superannuation experience is a advantage
